EUE/Sokolow Part of Team Bringing Series to National Geographic Channel

We had some good news last week. First, Deadline Hollywood announced that National Geographic Channel ordered its first scripted series, “Genius,” from Imagine TV. Second, Ron Howard will direct the series.  The series focuses on the world’s most creative innovators. Finally, the series originates from Imagine TV, Fox 21 Studios, OddLot Entertainment and EUE/Sokolow,

EUE/Sokolow serves as the content division of EUE/Screen Gems. The group operates out of Los Angeles, and Sam Sokolow leads the group. Sam has partnered for several years with EUE/Screen Gems as an independent television production company. EUE/Sokolow focuses on creating, packaging and producing original television properties, including scripted dramas, scripted dramas, and scripted comedies. In addition, they concept reality shows and game shows.

Sam Sokolow and Jeff Cooney of EUE/Sokolow are executive producing the new series for National Geographic Channel. Sokolow is working on a dozen projects in various stages of development. The Einstein “Genius” project is the most imminent. Cooney has directed hundreds of commercials for global brands such as Coca Cola, UPS, VISA, Proctor & Gamble and Mitsubishi. He has executive produced several independent feature films as well as pilots for the Oprah Winfrey Network and NBC.

We look forward to seeing the series come to life.  In conclusion, filming starts this summer in Prague.
